Elkins Creek Horse Camp is the best place I've ever camped and trail ridden at. Rick and Jill are the best host and hostess around. They do anything to help you out. The Wayne National Forest Horse Trails that adjoin the camp are kept in great shape due to the tireless efforts of Rick and Jill and the volunteers who donate their time to work on them and keep them clear. The trails are beautiful. I really appreciate all their efforts because available horse trails are disappearing. The camp is always neat and clean. They have many fun events through out the year. Check out their website for events. I would recommend this camp for anyone and can't wait to go back.

Just finishing up a return trip. All of my comments from last year are still true. This is absolutely my favorite place to camp and ride. Rick and Jill have done a tremendous job clearing trails after the horrible winter we've had. They are continuously adding on and making improvements to the camp. I've never had more hospitable or helpful hosts anywhere I've camped. They have great events throughout the year. Will keep coming back time after time.

Rick and Jill are the best camp host/hostess I have encountered. They help out with anything you request and even come to check on you to make sure everything is great. The camp is very well maintained; clean bathrooms and showers. They are continually improving the campground. They have a great ring to ride in and practice those show ring moves. :) Easy to park the big rigs and if you are like me and can't back one up, Rick will do it for you - even with a truck full of 4 yipping chihauhaus and a basset hound. They have a great cabin if you want more room. They have a covered pavillion to have larger dinners, fundraisers, etc. Stalls are nice. They also have a nice, well stocked tack shop. My horse threw a shoe on one of my trips and Rick put it right back on for me. Rick keeps the trails mowed and well maintained. There are miles and miles of trails so you don't have to ride the same ones. Trailheads are right at the camp. If you come back in aching, Jill will give you a massage that will take the pain away! Some people are concerned about ticks. I used human "OFF" with deet on my horses legs and then sprayed with horse fly spray. I only saw one or two ticks on him when I came back, so that wasn't a big concern for me. I have been to Elkins Creek Campground four or five times and can't wait to go back! Love you, Rick and Jill!
